This time she discusses the effects of agriculatural land-use on breeding shorebirds.
Rapidly decreasing population trends in farmland breeding waders in the Vinagradovo Floodplain near Moscow, Russia appear similar to those seen in Western Europe, where farming intensification is a problem. However, in the Vinagradovo Floodplain agriculture is not intensifying; indeed the opposite is true: farmlands are being abandoned.
