Clive Dudley Thomas Minton 7 October 1934–6 November 2019

On 6 November 2019, the International Wader Study Group lost its inspirational founder and father-figure when Clive Minton died in a car accident in Victoria, Australia. He was an extraordinary man who lived an extraordinary life. Over his 85-year lifespan, he made a huge impact on wader research and conservation throughout the world, and touched large numbers of people with his enthusiasm, energy, charisma and friendship.
