First sub-lingual oral fistula reported in a Swinhoe’s Snipe Gallinago megala

On 26 August 2018 the authors caught a Swinhoe’s Snipe at the Khurkh Bird Ringing Station, Khentii Province, Mongolia who had the tongue protruding through an oral fistula. The authors describe the details and occurrences of this condition in other bird species.
