At the 2018 IWSG Conference in Workum, The Netherlands, Humphrey Sitters officially announced his retirement as Editor-in-Chief of Wader Study, and this is his last issue in that role. To mark this momentous occasion, truly the end of an era, the editorial staff invited Humphrey and IWSG Chair Yvonne Verkuil to offer some thoughts on his illustrious tenure as editor.
