Compared to the five other populations of Red Knots Calidris canutus, much less is known about the population (C. c. roselaari) that migrates along the Pacific coast of North America and breeds in northwestern Alaska, USA, and Wrangel Island, Russia. This paper reports data from an important stopover site for roselaari: Grays Harbor.
