Northward migration of Curlew Sandpipers through Belarus was first recorded in 1996; 18 records between 1996 and 2002 span the period 19–30 May. One adult in breeding plumage was recorded on 13 June. Southward migration occurred in two waves: the first consisted of adult birds, starting from 13 July and continuing until early August; the second consisted of juveniles, peaked in mid-August with the last birds seen on 28 September.
