Curlew Sandpipers were recorded breeding in northern Alaska in 1962 and 1972. Elsewhere in Alaska it is an occasional migrant, mostly during northward migration, primarily along the coast, and almost always singly. Records in Alaska span the period 3 May to 11 September; most are in June. August records of juveniles on the Arctic coast probably reflect breeding.
