We report the results of the Norwegian Red Knot Project for 2007. The stopover population in Porsangerfjord peaked at about 32,500 birds. Arrivals took place over 17–22 May and most departed on 28 May. Mean arrival mass was about 137 g and the mean mass around the time of departure was about 182 g. The maximum mass recorded was 230 g. Twenty birds retrapped after seven days had increased mass by an average of 6.1 g/day. Most ringing recoveries and re-sightings of knots with individually inscribed flags are consistent with the Porsanger knots being of the  islandica subspecies.
