Hosted by Environmental Research Institute, University of Cork and held on Knochadoon Head in County Cork. The conference was attended by 123 delegates from 18 countries.
There were three workshops:
- Passage and wintering Golden Plovers. The results were published in Wader Study Group Bulletin Volume 108
- Why do wader populations decline globally
- Merging population ecology theory with field data
